Britain’s representative to the United Nations, Barbara Woodward, said that Britain abstained from voting on the humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza because the call « ignores the fact that Hamas has carried out terrorist acts and are still holding civilians hostage. »
Woodward also added that Britain is « very concerned » about the number of civilian deaths in Gaza and supports a ceasefire.
